I activated Community Edition of plugin and exhausted all the usage. I paid for the Developer Edition for the same email address and have received email with the new key. However, the License Key in the plugin won’t refresh to reflect the new one.
Steps I tried so far:
Uninstall and Reinstall plugin
Invalidate Cache and restart between the re-install of plugin
Can’t find a way to update the license key manually
Plugin option for “View License Info” says “Retrieving License Information…” but shows old license key
All options under “View License Info” leads to pricing page but there’s no option to enter license key manually
Plugin option for “Upgrade License” also leads to pricing page
Plugin settings - “Test Creation” tab only has options to manipulate test settings and no option to enter license key manually
Plugin settings - “About” tab has EULA, Privacy etc but no option to enter license key manually
All options leading to pricing page is annoying! I’ve paid for the product and just want to use it!
And why beat around the bush to get user logged in to user account? Having to request a link, click on link in email etc is very poor UX, but I digress
I see the problem, and sorry for the inconvenience.
When the docs suggest to go to Diffblue > Activate license, It meant the toolbar (top) not the status bar (bottom).
If you go to intelliJ and find the toolbar (hamburger icon in the top left might minimise it) you should see Diffblue next to file, edit etc. From there, there is a menu with activate license in it.
Thank you for the feedback this is very valuable!
For context: through the introduction of the new status bar widget, and IntelliJ new UI minimising / hiding the toolbar I can see how this can be very confusing and in our docs we are not explicit about which one we mean.
I already have a PR to add activate license to the status bar widget and license info screens (I hope to get this out in the next release in a week or so). I will also go and create one to update the docs tomorrow.
