We want to use JUnit 5.7.

Thanks for your message and sorry that we don’t yet support JUnit 5.7 - we are working on JUnit 5.7 support at the moment, it is due in the release after next. I will let you know as soon as the release with this in is ready

With JUnit5.7 added as a dependency, it seems that the JUnit4 method template is used even if JUnit5 is specified in the test framework.
If the test framework specifies a version instead of “Auto detect”, it is better to apply that version of the method template.

Would you mind elaborate on what you mean by JUnit4 method template? When JUnit 5.7 is set as a dependency, created tests by Diffblue Cover Intellij Plugin contain jupiter as an imported package.
